I'm trying to gain more money with the money I have without losing it.
It is not "play" it is serious with serious money. Choices, success and failure, can affect lives. I think you starting out with the wrong attitude.
Reward is a function of risk. It is directly related. You must take some risk to gain reward (profits). It is known as putting money "at risk".
The goal is to maximize the gains while minimizing the risk. At times, when the rewards look great you will want to take more risk but must be able to tolerate occasional losses that may result. But as long as you keep the gains far ahead of the losses you will be happy.
Trouble is, studies show people feel losses three times more than they appreciate the gains.
You should learn a lot before you consider trading stocks. Most people start out with mutual funds and let the professionals pick the stocks.
