May I know what are the differences between Investment Banking, and Investment Management?

Hi, I need some confirmation on my thinking. Please advice. Thank you so much.

I read:

Investment Banking provides:
financial advisory and capital-raising services to corporations, organizations and governments around the world.

Investment Management provides:
sophisticated investment products including mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and alternative investments for both individual and institutional investors.

So, what I think is:
Investment Banking is to look into corporations’ internal problems and see if there are needs to raise capital using methods like more issuance more stocks and bonds;

Investment Management is about managing corporations’ existing capital to invest them outside their own corporations like Investment Management manager would help corporation A to invest into a valued stock? and NO capital raising through issuing stocks and bonds?

Am I right about this?

I have not used it but I did find a couple of "rip off reports" on it.

Similarly, I found a post on a Yahoo message board reporting it as a scam.

I also found a number of positive e-zine "reviews" of the software. Unfortunately they all were written by the same person. If he had just wanted to share his opinion one would have been enough. The very fact that he has written so many reviews makes me think he has a financial interest in the company. (Of course, I have no proof.) You can find his reviews in the list of his articles at

Please Help me I hace suffered heavy losses in stock markets and someone has suggested me to subscribe for stock tips services. So, can anyone suggest me some good stocks advisory firms.

1. The starters should not go for long term rather they should eye the intraday trading. The reason is that if you hold a stock then its unpredictable what may happen to it overnight as the market depends totally on the global scenario.
2. Divide your capital into 10 equal risk parts.
3. Never trade without providing proper Stop Loss.
4. Follow the trend and don’t trade if the trend is not clear to you.
5. Don’t buy any stock just because of its low price.
6. Don’t expect that you will get profit on every trade.
7. Keep withdrawing portions of your profit and overcome your initial investment so that you trade with safe money which you can afford to lose.
8. Don’t trade with too many stocks at a time. Two or four are enough.
9. Don’t believe in tips/ rumors but on your own experience.
10. Sometimes be ready to accept losses too as they give you a lesson for profit.
