I am trying to find information about a stock my great grandfather purchased in 1927. The company was listed as "people's consolidated royalty syndicate" in Weatherford , Texas. All searches I have done keep bringing me to a company now called Weatherford International. I believe the stock still may have value, if anyone out there is better at stock research, I would appreciate some input thank you.
If it is Weatherford International then it is worth lots of money. That is one of the big oil supply companies but I think your research is faulty. Weatherford International did not start out of Weatherford TX.
Contact the State of Texas Secretary of State. That office can give you guidance on tracking stocks. You might remember that stock was bought 2 years before the great depresion and might actually be a bankrupt company. Good luck
