If the Great Depression caused by banks purchasing stocks … then why would we urge governments to repeat the same mistakes buy allowing them to purchase into PRIVATE corporation???

the origin of Great Depression were different of the crisis that economist predict (even is not a fact) for begin in 2008 or 2009. In ’29 there was not macro economics mechanism to control financial markets, then happened a "liquidity crisis" which financial markets did know how to manage….since ’60 "liquidity crisis" was attacked by actions of Fed moving interest rates…in the period ’40 to ’60 we did not find "liquidity crisis" because it was a period of increasing in public spending…
