I am new to investing and am going to start small. Im looking for low priced OTC stocks below a dollar to invest in long term. Im not looking for a quick buck im lokking for that next great startup company that could maybe turn into the next big thing. Thanks for any help and input.
OTC stocks are very risky. They are called OTC stocks because their shares are not allowed to be traded on a stock exchange. Therefore, the companies that issue OTC shares are not required to report any information and do not file SEC forms.
OTC stocks are highly speculative. The same is true of start-up companies. Investing in companies that have just gone public is usually very risky since they do not have an established history.
If you are looking for a long-term prospect, I would recommend stocks that have a stronger earnings history. Procter & Gamble, for example, is a good company to invest in for the long term.
