same question for large cap v. small cap stocks
I have been looking in the business literature for 17 years looking for a model for these sort of questions and have never seen a good model for timing growth versus value or large versus small stock. The Fama-French model suggests that value and small cap stocks do better over time and you should overweight value and small stocks. This model does not have a timing element in it.
