Cherry Picking The Diamonds From The Stock Market

the Southwest Airlines'stock growth after 9/11 in comparison with their competitors?

How about the Southwest Airlines'stock growth over the past four years in comparison to the stock growth of other airlines, especially after 9/11?

While the price hasn't been over $30 like it was in 1999, they have done very well compared to the rest, all things considered. The price hasn't varied by much more than +/- $5 but the airline has continued, almost, unhesitated growth.

A company's market share can also have a big impact on its future sales growth. In many markets it flies into, SWA dominates them and they continuing to grow. CEO Gary Kelly has said they will have over 700 aircraft by 2014. Currently, the largest airline in the world by fleet sie is American with 709 aircraft. If things go as planned, SWA will be the largest by fleet size AND domestic passengers carried (a title they already have). Not only that, their total market value exceed that of ALL other major U.S. airlines combined!
