i know that income stock pays dividends, but is dividends just something extra that the company pays anually (or quarterly), and besides the dividends, is income stock the same as growth stock, i mean does income stock not increase in values, and when i sell it, does it not make profit? (or loss)
Any stock, whether or not it pays dividends, can and will increase or decrease in value. The term "growth stock" simply refers to stocks that are expected to increase in value because the company will experience a growth in its net revenue.
