Also, does any one know of any good stocks under $5? I heard that there are some good stocks under $5 that are undervalued, but I'm not sure what stocks they are. I am also a young investor if that helps any! Thanks!
A good rule of thumb is to avoid stocks under $5.00 a share. I am sure there are some good ones out there or perhaps I should say some that might turn into good stocks.
Since you are young, GOOG might prove very good. They almost own the internet. MSFT has been banging its head against the wall for years attempting to insert a toe into the door and has wasted millions if not billions in the process. If you wish to take a little more of a gamble maybe CHN a closed end fund that invests in Chinese companies. Over the next 20 years it appears that there might be a shift in the balance of power from the west to the east. Might as well get in while the getting is good.
